Sentence mining is a very important and useful technique for quickly increasing your vocabulary once you've already learned all of the most frequent 1000-2000 words. This guide will only show you how to set up the tools to do sentence mining. If you want to learn more about the theory behind sentence mining you can visit the Refold Roadmap.

This guide will show you how to connect Anki to Yomitan, provide you with a pre-made sentence mining deck template, and show you how to add audio to your sentence mining cards.

Setup

• [ ] Setup Yomitan if you haven’t already:

  Yomitan Setup (+TTS!)

• [ ] Install AnkiConnect anki add-on so Yomitan can talk to Anki:

Restart Anki for the changes to take effect.

Anki must be open for Yomitan to be able to add cards to your deck.
